Alternative living in Kreuzberg, Berlin

Housing costs are going up rapidly.
Gentrification is happening rapidly all over Berlin.
Where do the ones go that cannot afford this? What do people do who do not want to take part in the constant hunt for success, money and consumption?

Well this is what they do.

Alternative living.

It is strange... the people living the alternative life in freedom from imposed rules and regulations , usually do not want to have rules enforced upon them. However, they want to prohibit me to take photos in a public space. Double standards according to me, and I didn't give a fuck...

Teepee Land felt like a much friendlier place.

The Free Box. Zoom in and read the sign

Actually, I was looking for a way to get into the old Ice Factory when I found Teepee Land.

This looks so quaint. Would not mind spending a week or two during summer here.

Garbage heap from one of the squatted areas

Ok.. I do not know exactly what this is, but it does not look like a housing approved by the authorities....
A tent with a garden, what more can one ask for?
